The mother's health is "extreme"?

I'm sorry, as a parent, I cannot forgive this. This is completely ridiculous. No one is pro-abortion, but they are pro-choice. The reason that rational people can stay pro-choice is because they feel that if the health of the mother is in any way at risk, every option should be on the table. To say that that is an extreme viewpoint, you can kindly pucker up and make out with my 3rd brown eye Senator McCain.



Cecile Richards, the president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, weighs in:

"Tonight, John McCain showed he doesn't care about women's health when he described protecting "the health of the woman" as "extreme." John McCain doesn't seem to understand that women's health matters. He blatantly showed that he doesn't trust women to decide what is in the best interest of their own health. Barack Obama, on the other hand, stood up for women's health."

Well, yet another 15 minutes of fame for someone that has no idea what he's talking about (or he was told what to talk about?).

I've seen the day after fallout and there's some interesting stories:

The McCain campaign has his phone number and he managed to completely stay on McCain talking points when interviewed by Katie Couric.

Related to the above story: Joe was apparently already decided on voting for McCain before he even asked his "question" to Sen. Obama.

The only thing that's really scary about this last skit, they didn't even change some of the dialog from the actual interview. Frightening.

Ok, just watched the debate...

I've gotta give it to Obama, despite the fact that neither was overly impressive. Barack looked confident, collected, and unflappable. John McCain looked angry and bitter most of the night, and please tell me I'm not the only one who noticed that McCain never seemed to look Obama in the eye all night.

When Obama said "Can we move on Jim?" while McCain was raving about offshore drilling and Lehrer actually moved to the next question is when I realized Obama had won this debate.

"John, you act like the war started in 2007."
