The mother's health is "extreme"?

I'm sorry, as a parent, I cannot forgive this. This is completely ridiculous. No one is pro-abortion, but they are pro-choice. The reason that rational people can stay pro-choice is because they feel that if the health of the mother is in any way at risk, every option should be on the table. To say that that is an extreme viewpoint, you can kindly pucker up and make out with my 3rd brown eye Senator McCain.

Cecile Richards, the president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, weighs in:

"Tonight, John McCain showed he doesn't care about women's health when he described protecting "the health of the woman" as "extreme." John McCain doesn't seem to understand that women's health matters. He blatantly showed that he doesn't trust women to decide what is in the best interest of their own health. Barack Obama, on the other hand, stood up for women's health."

If John McCain is going to use air quote gestures to refer to women's health, then I'm going to use air quote gestures when I call him a "hero."

What an idiotic thing to say and do. The issue of choice is extremely important because of the HEALTH of the mother.
